Silicon Nitride (SN) goes by many names in the rod building industry. SN is a ceramic that is characterized by fracture resistance, extra strength, and high polish achievability. SN is used in primarily in jet engine bearings and when casting a fly line through it you get a sense of why. The line feels nearly weightless as it travels through the guides.
Tip tops are available in four sizes:
4.5 (1.8mm with 6 ring)
5.0 (2.0mm with 6 ring)
5.5 (2.2mm with 6 ring)
6.0 (2.4mm with 7 ring)
